Someone else’s home anyway – One of my dearest friends had a death in the family and she asked me to come over to her house and watch her two youngest while they went to the funeral, graveside and family dinner. She will not leave her children with just anyone and offered to pay my day’s wages if I would take a vacation day and tend her girls. Luckily I have to option to work remotely every now and again and didn’t need to use a vacation day - and I would have never let her pay me my day’s wages, I am not that good of a baby sitter. Luckily I love these two little girls and my work e-mail was pretty slow today so it was kind of a nice break. Unfortunately I will have to make up for it tomorrow – I had to push my Tuesday meetings to Wednesday and had 3 other people schedule in between the cracks.
Perhaps it is just not being in my normal routine but I am EXHAUSTED! I can hardly keep my eyes open. I am doped up on Ibuprofen, I’m sure that is contributing to the lethargy.
The next big project I will be working on is a baby quilt for Danel. She just found out she is going to have a girl and Lynlee and I will be hosting a baby shower for her in March. I found the sweetest material --- very pink! I am going to make a variation of a puff quilt – it should turn out tres cute – next I will be helping Kim with the quilt she would like to make out of the skirts she wore on her mission to Thailand – this one will be very fun too.
If sewing paid better I would rethink my career – unfortunately I end up spending money on the fabric and then you add up all the time I spend putting back together the perfectly good material I just cut up… I only sew for those I love…
