I'm not sure if you have heard about the heated argument Rosie had with Elizabeth on the view the other day - the clips I have seen of it are quite impressive. It really was quite the battle. I was proud of Elizabeth for being just as vocal as Rosie has been and giving it right back to her.
I am all for having a different opinion - I am a republican and I am quite proud of it. I like Democrats - there is even a cute boy at work that I have a bit of a crush on that is a Democrat and he is one of my favorite people to talk politics with - and not just because he is very handsome -- The reason I enjoy discussing politics with him is that he will listen and respect my point of view. What I HATE about Rosie O'Donnell is that she comes across as if anyone who has a different view than hers is a complete and utter moron. She is the very picture of intolerance - Which I find odd as you would think that her life style choice would lead you to believe that she would actually be more sensitive to those with different opinions. I simply cannot stand the woman and any respect I had for her is gone.
With all that said it was so sad to hear that she has decided to leave the View immediately and not wait until her contract was due to expire in mid-June.
If that's not a reason to have a party then I don't know what is...

I hate Rosie O'Donnell AND Democrats (just kidding, but I've never met one like your polite handsome friend!)
wow. i had heard about the argument, but i didn't realize it prompted rosie to leave (am i in the dark or what?) that is crazy! anyway... thanks for visiting & commenting. i have found that it frays a bit, but i like the look. it doesn't tend to fray past where you sew it with the machine though!
I can remain quiet no longer...this whole thing was ridiculous. Good for Elizabeth for FINALLY sticking up for herself. I think I would actually respect what Rosie had to say alot more if her delivery wasn't so bully-like and know-it-all. It's not always what you say, but how you say it.
I had a lesbian minister as a professor for a required 1 credit hour race and culture class in college at the University of Vermont, and I ended up feeling like the class was judgmental of those who were not "open-minded" enough (just like dumb Rosie). Ugh. Luckily it was only 6 weeks long and once a week, but man, was I glad when it was over! I was very proud of my final paper where I discussed how I hate when people declare feminism, when in reality, they are trying so hard to be more like men. I spoke of how I would much rather celebrate my strengths as a woman, many of which are shared with men, and many which are not. Surprisingly enough, my professor loved it too!
Anyway, about Rosie, I heard the WORST rumor (I still haven't been able to verify its truth) that she is going to be the new host of The Price is Right. I don't know if I'd make those party plans just yet ... I want her to just go away!
(By the way, I grew up with Brooke Romney).
