Let's see.... it's been a busy couple of weeks. I wish I could say I was doing fun and exciting stuff but, alas, it is mainly work related. I would love to share some of it here but I am afraid I would bore you instantly. I would have to use terms like 'imputed income', 'change control' and 'reverse predecessors' - just typing it makes me drowsy. One guy has worked 12 to 14 hour days for 17 days straight now - this client he has is quite a handful but geesh - who wants to sit in a cubicle for 16 days straight. Luckily he is very cute and he sits on my row so I don't mind him being here all the time. The clients I have are very easy and very low maintenance so while I have a lot to do to prep them for the events of the next few months I am not forced to work excessive hours.... yet.
There has been a little bit of fun in the midst of the madness. I planned a surprise party for my brother's 40th birthday. I did a baseball theme, kind of like a kids birthday but not too juvenile. I wasn't in the mood to have a black party - he said we are only allowed to surprise the hell out of him once every 40 years so perhaps we will do it up nice and black when he turns 80. I also announced that if I am not married and have children by the time my 40th birthday rolls around I would like my party theme to be Hello Kitty - nice and pink.
The Party turned out great - all of his friends in the area came, some brought their kids - we bar-b-qued hotdogs, had chips, salads and I made a couple of yummy punches. The 2 liter Fresca, small can white grape juice concentrate and half a bag of ice (no additional water) was the most popular. I had a baseball shaped piƱata and my dad made a short film titled, "Black Saturday" that chronicled Kevin's life in pictures and music. Usually I would make the cake but work is crazy and there were just too many people coming so I ordered a cake from Costco - I am afraid that I will no longer make birthday cakes, I will order them from Costco because they make the best dang cakes! I know it is not very personal but a delicious cake that feeds 48 people for $15.00 is just too good a deal.
I stole this picture from Hockeyguy my brother is wearing the striped shirt and the guy in the background that looks like Geppetto is our dad.
My dad put some pictures up on his site.

I have been waiting for a new post. I am glad you are surviving the enrollment crunch. Let me know if lunch is still on?
aww! you're a great sister. I want a hello kitty party, even though I'm married and my kid will be 56 when I'm 80.
