Well, if you step over the huge box in the entry way and make your way back to the living/dining/kitchen area you might think I actually live here. I got my kitchen unpacked in just enough time to host Thanks Giving dinner. It turned out great, thanks to my Sister-in-law who can make a Thanks Giving feast in her sleep - she really is amazing --. I had to turn the meal preparation into a project plan and put each dish on it's own row as if it was a step in the plan and charted out what time I would have to do what. I was really quite pathetic but it worked for the most part.
I cooked my very first turkey in my very first home. It was a great way to christen my new home.
Until the cars got towed....
Unfortunately, you cannot park on the street in my neighborhood - it would have been really nice if someone had told me prior to hauling off my Dad and Brother's cars. We had just finished watching Hairspray and were getting ready to have pie when the missing cars were discovered. Again, my amazing Sister-in-Law used her super powers to talk the guy driving the tow truck to bring our cars back so we wouldn't have to go clear out to who-knows-where to pick them up. It is turning into quite the scandal in my neighborhood. I went into the sales office to talk to the builder and he told me that it is the HOA that enforces the parking and that it is not the city of South Jordan. He also mentioned that other home owners were equally as frustrated. The next Home Owner's Association meeting is in January and it is going to be interesting. Before then I need to find out how these streets are zoned by the city - I would love to walk into that meeting with a document that says that the city is fine with parking on the street and that it is an HOA decision and we should put it to a vote.
If anyone knows how I can find that out - please let me know.

Your house is so amazingly cute! I want to go to RC Willey and buy all the same furniture. Now get your butt in gear and post those awesome recipes you made.
Ahhh, those Thanksgiving memories... ;)
Congrats on your new house and the dinner sounded so fun! Miss you!
